Deploy a website straight from a Git repository
The fastest way to get a site or app live on OrbixPanel is to point it at a Git
repository. The panel clones your code, detects what it is, installs
dependencies, builds it, and starts serving it — all server-side, with the right
permissions. No zip uploads, no sudo.
What you need
- A Git repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or any HTTPS Git URL).
- Your code in a branch (usually
main). - A domain or subdomain pointed at your server (Domains & DNS).
Deploy it
- In the panel, open Apps and choose Deploy from Git.
- Paste your repository URL and pick the branch (defaults to
main). - Click Deploy.
OrbixPanel then:
- Clones the branch.
- Detects the runtime automatically — Node.js, Python, Go, PHP/Laravel, or a plain static build. (You can override the detection if needed.)
- Installs and builds — e.g.
npm install && npm run buildfor Node, orcomposer installfor PHP. - Starts the app as a managed service and wires up nginx and free SSL.
You’ll see a live build log, and the deployment moves through
queued → building → active. If a build fails, the log tells you exactly where.
Which projects work
| Your project | Detected as | Served by |
|---|---|---|
| Vite / React / Angular / plain HTML | static | nginx (files) |
Express / Next.js / Nest (has a start script) | node | managed process + nginx proxy |
Flask / Django (requirements.txt) | python | managed process + nginx proxy |
Go (go.mod) | go | managed process + nginx proxy |
Laravel / PHP (composer.json or index.php) | php | php-fpm + nginx |
Updating later
When you push new commits, just redeploy — the panel pulls the latest branch and rebuilds. For private repositories, see Deploy from a private repo.
