Who we are
This policy explains how OrbixPanel (“we”, “us”), operating the service at orbixpanel.com, handles personal data in connection with the OrbixPanel software and licensing service.
Data we collect
- Account data — email, and a name/country if you provide them.
- Install & telemetry data — when the installer runs and when your panel checks in: server fingerprint (a non-reversible machine id), IP address, panel domain, server IP, edition, OS/architecture, and software versions.
- Install leads — because the installer contacts us as it runs, we record install attempts (including ones that don’t complete): the email and domain entered, IP address, and status. We may use these to contact you about OrbixPanel (see “Marketing”).
- Licensing & credits — your licenses, status, and credit balance/claims.
- Payments — handled by our third-party merchant of record; we receive transaction metadata (e.g. invoices), not full card details.
- Crash reports & feedback — sent only if you opt in; redacted to avoid secrets/PII where feasible.
- Support — messages you send us.
How we use it
To issue and enforce licenses; to operate, secure, and improve the Software and Service; to prevent abuse and fraud; to provide support; to process payments and credits; and to communicate with you about your account, service changes, and (see below) relevant OrbixPanel news and offers.
Marketing & your choice
We may email you about OrbixPanel — including following up on install attempts. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out or request deletion at any time via the contact below. Transactional messages (license, billing, security) are not marketing and are always sent.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate: an email-delivery provider (to send transactional and, with your consent where required, marketing email) and a payments merchant of record. We may disclose data where required by law.
Cookies
The Service uses strictly-necessary cookies for authentication/session. It does not rely on third-party advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep account, license, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal/accounting purposes. Install-lead and telemetry records are kept while useful for product and outreach purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing. Contact us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify your identity.
Security & international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. Because we and our providers may operate in different countries, your data may be processed outside your own; we take steps to protect it in line with this policy.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes take effect when posted here, with an updated date above.
